JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A 24-year-old man has been charged with stabbing a 72-year-old Jacksonville man in the neck.

Jacksonville police arrested Freddie Walthour Monday and charged him with aggravated battery.

Police say he lived with the victim, Napolean Shuman, who was found sitting in a chair with a knife impaled in his neck. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition, but was expected to live.

Police say Walthour stabbed the victim once.

Jail records show no bond has been set.
