PENSACOLA, Fla. — A Pensacola couple is anxious for word of two children they are adopting in Haiti.

Milissa and Jason Evans have spent three years working through the Haitian government to adopt 7-year-old Bella and 10-year-old Elijah.

The children survived the earthquake in their orphanage in the northern city Port-de-Paix, located about 150 miles from the quake's epicenter. But the orphanage is low on food and water and its generator is low on fuel.

The Evanses say they don't know when they will be able to see the children or if they will be to finalize the adoption. Bella and Elijah are among 118 children at their orphanage.
