PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. — A Panhandle church says two of its missionaries who have worked in Haiti for more than 20 years were badly injured in Haiti. They have been airlifted to a Miami hospital.

Eastgate Christian Fellowship sponsors the work of Patrick and Barb Lataillade.

The church says Barb Lataillade had her right foot amputated above her knee and Patrick had his right arm amputated.

Eastgate Pastor Robwoodrum says the couple's missionary headquarters were in Port-au-Prince but they also worked outside of the city in remote areas. He says the couple has worked to establish churches in those areas.
