A Gainesville man was arrested Saturday on multiple burglary charges after he reportedly was confronted by one of the victims, Gainesville Police reported.
Charged was Brandon E. Johnson, 23, of 1018 S.E. 41st Drive, Apt. 240, according to an arrest report.
Johnson is suspected of burglarizing two apartments at 4000 S.W. 37th Blvd. In one instance, victims woke up to find the burglar, who then fled.
The victims called police, who spotted a man matching the culprit's description at the apartment complex. He ran but was caught nearby, the report stated. The victims identified Johnson as the suspect, police said.
Further investigation turned up items that were reported stolen from another apartment in the complex. He was charged with three counts of burglary.
