OCALA - Florida Highway Patrol troopers were on scene Friday afternoon at a crash about 250 yards from the 354 exit (State Road 27).

A witness, Natalie Nestor, on her way from Atlanta to Orlando, told the Star-Banner she was driving southbound and saw a red Mazda in the far left lane. A gold SUV, apparently switching lanes, pushed the Mazda to the left into the emergency area.

The Mazda hit the guard rail and cut back across all three lanes of traffic, hitting a Jeep Wrangler.

The Jeep flipped three or four times, according to Nestor, before coming to a stop in the grassy shoulder. The Mazda also stopped in the grassy area.

A man driving the Mazda and a woman driving the Jeep were both transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, according to officials.

The SUV apparently continued traveling and did stop.
