Authorities find 740 pounds of cocaine on sailboat near Fort Lauderdale

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Two men have been arrested on drug trafficking charges after federal authorities reportedly found about 740 pounds of cocaine on at 32-foot sailboat.
Officials say 61-year-old Ronald Earl Landrum, of Miramar, and 59-year-old Charles Edward Norman, of Rotunda West, were arrested Saturday and charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and possession with intent to distribute 5 kilograms or more of cocaine.
Both men have a pretrial detention hearing scheduled for Thursday at the federal courthouse in Fort Lauderdale.
