WILMINGTON, Del. — Hundreds of people are gathering in Delaware to pay their respects to Vice President Joe Biden's mother.
The 92-year-old Jean Finnegan Biden died Friday after a brief illness. A crowd of about 700 people gathered Tuesday in the sanctuary at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Wilmington for a funeral Mass.
Those attending include President Barack Obama, former President Bill Clinton and several Cabinet officials and members of Congress.
The president and first lady met privately with the Biden family before the funeral began.
