Saturday is expected to be sunny and clear with a high around 44 degrees and a low of 22 degrees and conditions are expected to remain the same for Sunday.
Monday is expected to warm to about 56 degrees with a low of 27 degrees.
National Weather Service forecasters were predicting conditions for snow or snow flurries to the north and south of Gainesville for Saturday, raising expectations for some flurries in this area as well, according to earlier weather reports.
On Thursday morning, Gainesville beat a 1924 record of 22 degrees with a low of 21. Ocala set a record also at 21 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
