Columbia County deputies found four pounds of marijuana, $1,400 in cash and a loaded gun in a car on Thursday.

Two men, both Tallahassee residents, found inside the vehicle were arrested.

The driver, Oral O. Martin, 25, was charged with habitually driving with a suspended license.

Martin's only passenger, Craig A. McKay, 26, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both men were booked into the Columbia County Jail.

Sheriff's Sgt. Mike Sweat and Cpl. Keith Jackson stopped Martin's car at 5:45 p.m. for a traffic violation while he was headed west on Interstate 10, authorities said. Jackson's K-9 partner, Perry, alerted on the vehicle, an indication that drugs might be inside the car.

Sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Ed Seifert said the deputies found the marijuana, worth an estimated $4,000, along with the cash and gun in the trunk of the car.
