1. Bye week
South Carolina and Auburn have the week off to get ready for rivalry games. So do Alabama (Chattanooga) and Florida (FIU). This is not a good week for SEC football.
2. Bowl positioning
Two games will shape which teams head where at the end of the season. LSU is at Ole Miss with all kinds of implications and Kentucky is at Georgia where the winner will leave the stadium with improved bowl gifts.
3. Bowl goal
Meanwhile, Tennessee needs another win to be bowl eligible. We assume it will happen because of the annual Vandy-Kentucky quiniela to close the season. But Vandy could salvage a miserable year with a stunner.
