Florida redshirt senior safety Dorian Munroe’s career is likely over.
Munroe suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury to his right knee last week, Florida coach Urban Meyer said during Monday’s news conference.
"Dorian Munroe falls into the same category as (senior linebacker) Ryan Stamper and (junior defensive lineman) Justin Trattou that are players on our team that are all Gator, man," Meyer said. "He's a great kid."
Munroe tore his right ACL during the summer of 2008 and missed the entire season.
He reinjured the knee in preseason practice and had been working his way back before last week’s setback.
Munroe saw his first action of the season on special teams in Florida's 41-17 win over Georgia on Oct. 31.
