PENSACOLA, Fla. — The body of a missing pregnant woman has been found in a Panhandle bayou.

Authorities say 25-year-old Samira Watkins disappeared late Thursday. She was two months pregnant.

Assistant Pensacola Police Chief Chip Simmons says Watkins's body was located Monday in Bayou Grande in southwestern Escambia County.

Family members say Watkins managed a local fast-food restaurant and was attending junior college while raising her four-year-old son.

Police are investigating her death.
