John Gulley: Spikes should be thrown off the team

Reaching inside a player’s helmet and gouging his face! A cowardly act to be sure! Why did he do that?

I have the feeling Coach Myer won’t have the intestinal fortitude to kick Brandon Spikes off the team or revoke his scholarship, as should be done with this type of conduct. Alas, I don’t believe he will take any punitive action against him. I also don’t believe any Bull Gator will step forward to condemn this behavior or ask for Spikes’ dismissal from the team. I guess winning another national championship is more important than possibly permanently injuring someone. No surprise there! Apparently there is no honor in Gatorland, not that I would expect there to be.
Will the SEC Commissioner do anything regarding this? I highly doubt it. No
gumption in that office from what I've seen in the past.
Having said the above, I am a second generation Floridian and most amazing
of all, I grew up with Tim Tebow's mom! Without a doubt, I believe Tim is a gentleman and a consummate sportsman.
