COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier expects to have senior receiver Moe Brown ready for Saturday's game at Tennessee.

Brown missed last week's Vanderbilt game recovering from a concussion suffered in a 20-6 loss at Alabama on Oct. 17. Spurrier said Wednesday that Brown has practiced with the 21st-ranked Gamecocks and should be cleared to play.

Brown is South Carolina's second-leading receiver with 22 catches, 324 yards and two touchdowns.

Spurrier also said he was not aware Brown was going to talk about Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin's alleged comments to Gamecock receiver Alshon Jeffery suggesting South Carolina recruits wind up pumping gas.

Kiffin denied saying it. Brown said Tuesday that Jeffery told teammates that Kiffin did make the remarks.

Spurrier says Brown was free to say what he thought.
