Florida men's basketball coach Billy Donovan will be honored with the John R. Wooden "Legends of Coaching Award."
Donovan will be honored with the men's and women's Wooden Award college basketball player of the year recipients at the Los Angeles Downtown Athletic Club in April of 2010.
Donovan, 44, is one of only four active coaches to have guided teams to multiple NCAA titles, leading the Gators to back-to-back national championships in 2006 and 2007. The other three, Mike Krzyzewski (3), Roy Williams (2) and Jim Calhoun (2) are previous Legends of Coaching honorees. Donovan and Kentucky's Adolph Rupp are the only Southeastern Conference coaches to win multiple national titles.
Donovan has a career record of 345-146. In 13 seasons at Florida, Donovan has led Florida to three Final Four appearances, nine NCAA Tournament appearances and 11 straight 20-win seasons.
