ORLANDO, Fla. — Authorities are looking for the man who sped through an Orlando International Airport parking collection booth without paying a $917 bill.
Police say a black sport utility vehicle that had been parked for nearly two months zipped away Tuesday evening. A vehicle in front of the SUV paid its parking fee, giving the SUV's driver a chance to tailgate and slip out while the arm on the toll booth was still up.
Ampco System Parking, which runs the $17-a-day parking lot attached to the OIA terminal, reports the 2008 Chevrolet Suburban had been parked since Aug. 6.
An image of the vehicle's license plate was captured, and police were tracking down the driver. Authorities say the driver will likely be charged with theft of services.
