ALACHUA COUNTY JAILSharon Irene Rojas, 52, was charged with filing a false police report for an incident outside the CVS store at 901 N. Main St. at about 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Police Sgt. Steve Baker said Rojas called police and claimed she had been beaten and robbed. In response, several officers headed toward the store.
"It turned out that she got into an argument over beer money and decided to settle it my calling us and claiming she had been beaten and robbed," Baker said. "Several reliable witnesses refuted her story and she went to jail."
