No. 2 ERIC BERRY
Tennessee junior defensive back
Why he's No. 2: Berry not only has a knack for finding the ball, he's a dangerous player when he gets it in his hands. Tennessee has considered using him on offense, he's that good. Berry wasted little time having an impact on the league, starting every game after his first and being named SEC Defensive Player of the Year in 2008. There is not a bigger game-changer on defense in this league. Berry is also not afraid to put a lick on a receiver and is excellent at run support.
Key number: Berry certainly has made the most of his 12 picks in two seasons, the most by any college football player during that stretch. He has returned those interceptions for 487 yards, also the most in college football, and has scored three touchdowns.
Fun fact: As good as Berry is, he does not excel at everything. He was cut from the high school chess team at Creekside High in Fairburn, Ga.
