LSU senior offensive tackle
Why he's No. 9: He's a big, strong, steady player at left tackle. And he's always there. He's a three-year starter and he is one of only two players in school history to see more than 1,000 snaps in a season. He was a second-team All-SEC selection the past two seasons and is on everyone's preseason first team for 2009.
Key number: He has started 40 consecutive games at left tackle — and rarely gives up sacks.
Fun fact: Black, whose parents are preachers, aspires to be a sportscaster after his football career is over.
