Charges against Florida walk-on running back Marquis Hannah are expected to be dropped Friday, according to a source familiar with the case.
The source said the State Attorney's office will decline to prosecute Hannah, who faced charges of second-degree felony unarmed burglary and first-degree misdemeanor battery. Hannah was arrested last April 24 for allegedly forcing his way into a Gainesville apartment and punching a man in the face.
Hannah's case is one of 24 UF football-related legal incidents during coach Urban Meyer's four-year tenure. He is the eighth player to have charged against him dropped.
