Loxahatchee Sky

A marsh in the Loxahatchee area of the Everglades reflects clouds in the sky above in this photo by famed Florida nature photographer Clyde Butcher. This photograph is part of the exhibit ForEverglades: Photos by Clyde Butcher and Jeff Ripple, at the Florida Museum of Natural History through May 31. ForEverglades showcases the hidden beauty of the Everglades. For the last 40 years, Butcher has been known for his black-and-white environmental photographs. His awards include the state of Florida’s Artist Hall of Fame Award and Heartland Community Service Award, the Sierra Club’s Ansel Adams Conservation Award and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the North American Nature Photography Association.


The exhibit “ForEverglades: Photos by Clyde Butcher and Jeff Ripple,” is open through May 31 at the Florida Museum of Natural History on the University of Florida campus. Free admission.
