Tebow no pitchman ... yet

When the rock star becomes an NFL star, companies and Web sites will be free to seek out Tim Tebow to endorse their product.

He could even help sell, say, women's panties if he chose to (even though that seems highly unlikely).
But since he's still a college football player, he's off limits to companies trying to profit from his name. Especially without his consent.
A Web site seeking to ride the Tebow wave of popularity has come up with a unique product called Teebows — orange and blue women's panties shaped like a T with a bow on the back.
It's OK to sell Teebows (the 90-percent cotton underwear go for $6 a pair), but the Web site was issued a cease-and-desist order for using a picture of Tebow and an official Gators' logo on its site. The picture and logo have since been taken down on Teebows.com.
The order was sought by Collegiate Licensing Company, which partners with UF. Using Tebow's picture and a UF logo is copyright infringement, a common problem that UF has to contend with over the years.
