University of Florida police are looking for a flasher who exposed himself to at least one woman outside Shands at the University of Florida Monday night.
According to police, the man approached a woman at 10:09 p.m. and asked her for money. When the woman said she did not have any cash, the man reportedly pulled down his pants and exposed himself.
The woman told police that she ran into the Health Professions Nursing and Pharmacy Building to call for help. The woman said that she saw the man approach another woman in the parking lot and that woman walked away from the man and into the Academic Research Building.
The man then left the area in a small purple car with a spoiler on the trunk, according to police.
University Police Capt. Jeff Holcomb said the man was described as a black male about 5-foot-10, weighing approximately 220 pounds. He has short black hair, was 35 to 40 years old and was wearing light green scrubs with an ID badge on the front of his shirt, the woman told police.
According to Holcomb, police have stepped up patrols in the area.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact UF police at 392-4705.
