Q: What do you think has contributed to the Vols dropping their last two games?
A: Offensively we haven’t been in sync. We’ve been struggling. To get back in sync, I think we need to make some adjustments.
Q: How sweet would it be to hand Florida its first loss in the O-Dome this season? What makes the arena so hard to play in?
A: It would be great to do that. It’s a great environment there. I enjoy the trip to Gainesville. I like playing on the road anyways. I think the fans in the student section, they take pride in their chance to see their team play. It was a good environment last year when we played. They gave us a tough game, but we came out with the win though.
Q: Do you think Tennessee’s athletic advantage over Florida has been the reason for the Vols’ four-game winning streak in the series?
A: I’m not sure it’s about athleticism. There’s been tough games. (In Knoxville) last year, we were up 20 points, and they came back a bit. It all comes in runs. This year’s game (in Knoxville), I think the atmosphere here just allowed us to play some of our best basketball.
Q: You were the SEC’s Sixth Man of the Year last season. How different is it now that you’re a regular starter?
A: Last year, being sixth man, you don’t know how your minutes were going to be. Now that I’m a starter, I can play more consistent minutes. Whereas, last year you came in and they want you to score points fast, give the starters a break and not have a letdown.
Q: How does your cousin Tayshaun Prince like the trade the Pistons made for Allen Iverson?
A: I haven’t asked about the trade. They have a whole different thing over there, because they didn’t have any control over that. We’re still playing for the love of the game. He’s making a lot of money playing where he’s playing. We’re just trying to get where he’s at.
