KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- Florida Gov. Charlie Crist says residents of the Sunshine State should urge their friends in the chilly north to buy Florida real estate.
The governor told Floridians attending a town hall meeting in Kissimmee on Monday that now is the best time in years to buy Florida real estate, provided you can get a loan. Real estate taxes are going down, as is insurance. The governor, somewhat tongue-in-cheek, told the residents at the town hall meeting to spread the news to friends in freezing weather up north.
The governor answered questions about property taxes, growth and a commuter rail from the 250 residents at the town hall meeting.
