Gainesville police arrested two men and a woman late Saturday night on charges of attempted robbery with a fireman. The two men also were charged with carrying a firearm by a convicted felon.
The Gainesville Police Department report describes the following incident:
Keondra S. Williams, 18, was driving a black Saturn on SE 22nd Avenue when a police officer pulled her over for having too tinted of windows.
Also in the car were Johnbrooks S. Smith, 24, and Timothy J. Hunter, 29, both of Palatka.
When the officer searched the car, he found .357 caliber revolver under the front passenger seat and a .38 caliber revolver under the backseat cushion.
After all three were placed in custody, Williams told police she had driven the two men to the Sugar Hill apartment complex with the intent of robbing a local drug dealer.
Although the robbery did not take place, Williams said it would have had they not been pulled over by law enforcement.
Both Smith and Hunter are convicted felons, and it is illegal for them to possess firearms.
