ORMOND BEACH, Fla. Authorities say a knife-wielding robber ran into problems when an Ormond Beach convenience store clerk pulled his own knife on the would-be thief.

The Volusia County Sheriff's Office reports that the man walked into the store Sunday morning, waving a knife and demanding money. But the clerk had seen the man outside covering his face, so he pulled out his pocketknife and got ready.

When the robber jumped on the counter, the clerk lunged at the man and hit him in the chest.

The startled robber ran toward the door, where he stopped to grab a bottle of suntan lotion and throw it at the clerk.

Authorities were still looking for the man. Anyone with information about the robbery should call Crime Stoppers of Northeast Florida.
