Motorists reported slow traffic near the Archer and Williston road exits Tuesday evening due to separate accidents.
No injuries were reported in the wrecks, both involving semis, the Florida Highway Patrol and the Alachua County Sheriff's Office reported. But officers confirmed the crashes had slowed traffic as motorists were trying to get home.
In one crash, a truck struck a guardrail while the other truck jackknifed, said FHP Lt. Patrick Riordan. The accidents occurred shortly before 6 p.m.
Officers did not have an estimate when the traffic situation would improve. One of the crashes, which occurred on northbound I-75, was continuing to cause roadblocks and slower traffic at 6:20 p.m.
