GAINESVILLE, Fla. Thousands of University of Florida students hope to party like it's 2007 as they wait to see their Florida Gators play for their second national championship in football in three years.

If the Gators beat the Oklahoma Sooners in Thursday night's BCS game in Miami, students at the nation's No. 1 party school are expected to pour into the streets of Gainesville to celebrate.

The game will be shown on four large screens on campus at the O'Connell Center and at the Reitz Union.

Police will be working to prevent a repeat of a tragedy two years ago when an officer was struck and killed by a pickup truck after the Gators won a basketball championship.
