Gainesville police are looking for a New Year’s Eve robber, who wished customers a “Happy New Year” before leaving the store he held-up.

Officers provided surveillance camera pictures of the suspect in the Dec. 31 robbery at CVS Pharmacy, 3404 Archer Road, this week.

The suspect entered the business at about 11:50 p.m., stood in line with a package of paper towels and then told the employee at the counter he would shoot if he didn’t get money.

Seven customers were in the store when the man removed the contents of two registers.

The suspect is described as a black male, 25 to 30 years old, 6-feet-2, and 190 pounds. He was wearing a black, varsity-style jacket with brown sleeves and “Titans” on the back.
