FORT LAUDERDALE - The right arm is bare.
Phil Trautwein wants that to change.
So do his teammates.
"Everybody is getting on me to get another one," said Florida's left offensive tackle.
After Florida won the national title in 2006, Trautwein went to a tattoo parlor and received an elaborate inking commemorating the 2006 crystal.
It took three hours and $300 to get the tattoo.
"We're going to a tattoo place right after the game," said Mike Pouncey.
But does Trautwein want to go through it again?
"I will," he said, "for a national championship."
Florida's 2008 season has been a wild ride for Trautwein because he missed all of last year with a broken foot. After sitting out the season, Trautwein decided to come back for his senior year. He anchored an offensive line that produced one of college football's best offenses.
"For some reason I broke my foot last year to play for this team," Trautwein said. "God put me here for a reason."
For the Florida senior, it's a unique place. How many college football players have started in national title games in their last two seasons of college football? Technically, that's the case for Trautwein.
"Coach (Urban) Meyer and I were talking about that the other day," he said. "The only two players who started that game who are still here are me and (special teams whiz) James Smith. I count him. Not too many players get to play for two national championships."
