A Trenton man was arrested Wednesday for the murder of a man found dead along a roadside in June.
Samuel Lane Pittman, 26, was arrested on a warrant for first-degree murder. He's accused of killing Willie James Ellison, 38, who was found June 4 along the side of Tyler Grade Road east of Trenton.
An autopsy showed he died of a gunshot wound from a large-caliber weapon.
Pittman is being held without bond at the Alachua County jail.
