UF coach Urban Meyer on Wednesday put an end to the growing speculation that senior tight end Cornelius Ingram might play in the national championship game. Ingram underwent ACL surgery after injuring his knee in practice in August and missed the regular season

When asked Wednesday if Ingram figured into UFs plans, Meyer said, No. Ive been asked that question a lot. Id probably love it more than C.I. would love it, but were going to do (the right thing). Its only three or four months after ACL surgery.

Ingram, the former Hawthorne star, has been catching passes and taking part in some drills at practice for the past several weeks. He is preparing himself for the NFL Combine this winter and the draft, where he could go somewhere in the first three rounds.

He looks like the freak that he is, but no (hes not playing against Oklahoma), Meyer said.
