The big news, of course, is the Florida Gators learned Sunday night they’ll be playing for the national championship in Miami on Jan. 8.

Some more big news came from quarterback Tim Tebow shortly after the official announcement, when he said he’s leaning toward returning for his senior season.

“I’m not even thinking (about the NFL) right now,” he said. “It will be after the game. But if I had to say I was leaning any way, it would be to coming back.”

Underclassmen traditionally send in paperwork to the NFL after the regular season seeking feedback on their possible draft status.

Tebow indicated he hasn’t done that, at least not yet.

“Paperwork? I don’t know,” he said.

In other news, star wide receiver Percy Harvin said he has no doubt he’ll be back to full speed for the national title game after missing the SEC Championship Game with a high ankle sprain.

“We’ve got another three or four weeks, so I’ll be fine,” he said. “We tried to get it ready (for the SEC title game), but we just didn’t have enough time.”
