No tickets? No problem: Watching the game in Atlanta

White, a Tampa resident and lifelong fan of the Gators, and his friend, an Alabama Crimson Tide booster, decided that they will try to sell their SEC Championship Game tickets outside the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, asking a mere $1,000 for the pair.
"We made an executive decision, and we decided that if someone wants to pay that much for them, we'll be happy to sell them," White said. "I'd love to be going to the game, but I can be bought."
Would anyone pay $500 for a $70 ticket? Looking at message boards, eBay and Craigslist, White's tickets won't be on sale for long. Upper-deck tickets can fetch about $400, while club-level seats can bring upward of four digits.
RazorGator.com says it has 672 tickets available, ranging from $402 to $1,292 apiece.
Georgia World Congress Center Authority spokesman A.J. Pace said demand for tickets is higher than he's ever seen it.
"It's been quite crazy," he said. "A lot of people are calling the Georgia Dome looking for seats, but there just aren't any."
That won't stop many ticketless Gator fans from making the trek to Atlanta, many of them hoping for a miracle or an encounter with a sympathetic booster.
In case that miracle doesn't happen, there are plenty of places for Gator fans to go watch the game. The Atlanta Gator Club has three viewing parties set up throughout the city for those left outside the Georgia Dome.
"We'll have stuff going on all day Saturday at the Hard Rock Cafe downtown," said Carla Klepper, the club's president. "Then we've got three sports bars - two of them are close to the Dome and one is outside the city a bit - for people who can't get tickets."
One of those bars, Sidebar near the CNN Center, is owned by Gator alumni.
Jose Navarro and Mat Tainow have subtle Gator themes throughout the tavern, like the orange and blue shots and halftime kamikazes served during the game, just like a legendary bar in Gainesville.
"It's a little bit of a throwback to the Purple Porpoise," Navarro said, making reference to the bar once located along University Avenue where Gator City is now. "We're known here as the Gator headquarters, so we'll be slammed."
Klepper won't be stuck in the crowd. The Atlanta Gator Club purchases 150 tickets to the game from the Southeastern Conference every year, always renewing its order in hopes that Florida makes the championship game.
This year makes all those renewals worth it, Klepper said.
"This is the hardest ticket I've ever seen. There isn't an excess anywhere," she said, adding that all those 150 tickets are already spoken for. "I'm getting e-mails and calls left and right from people asking for them.
"There will be tickets out there on game day if you want to spend the money."

RE: Link
maybe I missed something, but isn't scalping illegal. If they don't want to see the game in person, give up the tickets but not like that. Typical, profitering at any cost.

Scalping is not illegal in Georgia. However, it is against the law to sell tickets within 2,000 feet of the Georgia Dome and the City of Atlanta will have undercover police that will arrest you if you are from out of state and take your tickets and hold them as evidence until your court date. It is a crazy law, please make sure you do not get too close.

I saw quite a few "event staff" folks walking around running off scalpers during the Clemson game.
