Florida junior quarterback Tim Tebow has been named the Southeastern Conference Offensive Player of the Week and sophomore defensive end Carlos Dunlap earned SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week honors, the league office announced Monday.

Tebow led the Florida offense to their seventh-straight game of 42 or more points in the Gators’ 45-15 victory over Florida State in Tallahassee. The Maxwell Award finalist accounted for four total touchdowns, going 12-for-21 for 185 yards and three passing scores. The victory at FSU marked the eighth-straight game that the junior passed for at least two touchdowns, the longest streak of his career. Tebow rushed for 80 yards on 16 carries with a four-yard touchdown run for his 12th rushing touchdown of the season.

With the victory in Tallahassee, Tebow finished the regular season 160-of-246 for 2,299 yards and 25 passing touchdowns. He ranks fourth on the team in rushing with 507 yards on 137 carries and enjoys the most rushing touchdowns on the team with 12. Tebow is now tied with Bo Jackson for fifth all-time in the SEC with 43 rushing touchdowns and already holds the school record for career rushing scores.

Dunlap collected two sacks for a loss of 28 yards and three total tackles-for-loss in the win against the Seminoles. He also forced a fumble in the fourth quarter which was recovered by teammate Jaye Howard. Dunlap led a defensive line that held the Florida State rushing offense to 102 yards, notably below their season average of 190 rushing yards per game. He also led all linemen with four solo tackles.

With nine sacks on the season, Dunlap is now tied for the lead in the SEC. He also boasts 32 total tackles on the regular season, second among defensive linemen. Dunlap owns a team-high 12 tackles for a loss and is tied for the team lead with two blocked kicks.

The Gators travel to Atlanta on Saturday to face No. 1 Alabama at 4 p.m. ET for the SEC Championship Game. The game will be aired live on CBS.
