UF feeling good about itself

The Florida football team felt pretty good about itself following Saturday's 38-7 victory at Arkansas. And now, there is reason for the Gators to feel even better.
They're getting healthier.
Coach Urban Meyer said UF expects to possibly see six injured contributors return for next week's home game against LSU.
Linebacker Ryan Stamper (ankle), running back Kestahn Moore (hamstring), safety Will Hill (hamstring) and offensive guard Marcus Gilbert (ankle) should be ready to go, and Meyer listed offensive guard Jim Tartt (shoulder) and tailback Emmanuel Moody (ankle) as questionable.
"(We're) going to get four guys back," Meyer said.
Meyer added weakside linebacker Dustin Doe (double hernia surgery) won't suit up again until after the bye week which follows the LSU game.
The returns of Stamper and Hill have extra significance, as the defense will need to be as sturdy as possible with the SEC's leading rusher (Charles Scott) coming to town.
"Look at the history of this series," Meyer said. "When you stop the run and play excellent defense (you usually win)."
He pointed to UF's play in its 23-10 victory against the Tigers two seasons ago as an example. In that contest, LSU ran for just 90 yards on 25 carries and didn't have a rushing touchdown.
EXTRA POINTS: Meyer said defensive lineman Torrey Davis played about 10 snaps against Arkansas. As of his Sunday morning conference call with the media, Meyer said he hadn't yet spoken to defensive coaches for an evaluation of Davis. ... Meyer said he "thought the offensive line, take away the penalties, played its best game" against the Razorbacks. He also said the receivers blocked well. ... Meyer praised the play of cornerback Joe Haden, who had 11 tackles and an interception against Arkansas. "He's played fairly consistent the entire year. He tackled well. We faced one of the better backs in the conference (in Michael Smith)." ... Despite standing just 5-foot-8, 176 pounds, freshman running back Jeff Demps has gotten carries inside the tackles because he's "pretty powerful for his size," according to Meyer. The coach also referred to the speedy duo of Demps and Chris Rainey as "home-run hitters." Demps had touchdown runs of 36 and 48 yards, while Rainey had a 75-yard scoring jaunt. ... Meyer said "every game presents its own challenges. Last week it was putting the ball on the ground, this week it was penalties." UF was penalized 12 times for 110 yards against the Razorbacks.
