Florida, junior receiver
Why he's No. 3: There is not a more electrifying player in America than Harvin, who averaged 11.4 yards every time he touched the ball as a sophomore. Harvin ran for 764 yards and caught passes for 858 yards while scoring a combined 10 touchdowns a year after being a key player in Florida's run to a national title. Only injuries have slowed him, and he enters the 2008 season recovering from heel surgery.
Key number: 1. Harvin wore No. 8 as a freshman but switched to No. 1 for last season after Reggie Nelson's early departure made the number available. It makes it easier for fans to talk about the He1sman race.
Fun fact: Percy is not Harvin's first name. William Percy Harvin III was born May 28, 1988, in Virginia Beach, Va.
