No. 4 — Eric Berry, Tennessee
Sophomore defensive back
Why he's No. 4: Combination of strength and coverage ability makes Berry the elite cornerback in the SEC. Berry led all Tennessee freshmen with 86 tackles and intercepted five passes, including one returned 96 yards for a touchdown off Florida quarterback Tim Tebow last season.
Key number: 222. The number of interception return yards Berry had last season, the second-highest total in SEC history.
Fun fact: Was the prep state champion in Georgia in the 200 meters in his sophomore year in high school.
