No. 7 — Tyson Jackson

LSU senior defensive end

Why he's No. 7: Jackson possesses the rare combination of size (6-foot-5, 290 pounds) strength and speed that few defensive ends in the country possess. Jackson also has tremendous experience. The redshirt senior will be entering his third year as a starter. Jackson passed on a chance to enter the NFL Draft this spring and has already been named a preseason All-American.

Key number: 27. Jackson has started 27 consecutive games at the left defensive end spot the last two seasons for LSU. The streak dates back to the beginning of the 2006 season.

Fun fact: ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit has called Jackson a "defensive freak."
