No. 11 — Geno Atkins
Georgia
Jr. defensive tackle
Why he's No. 11: Atkins is an active and disruptive part of Georgia's defensive line. He emerged as a force during the second half of last season and finished the year with a team-best 14.5 tackles for a loss. He earned All-SEC honors as a sophomore. Atkins enters this season on the Outland Trophy, Bednarik Award and Bronko Nagurski watch lists.
Key number: 7.5. Atkins registered this number of sacks last season, including three in Georgia's win over Georgia Tech.
Fun fact: Atkins played middle linebacker at St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale, but was projected as a defensive end. Oddly, in-state schools Miami, Florida and Florida State did not recruit Atkins. Now, he's one of the SEC's best defensive tackles.
