2008 volleyball class ranked No. 1

The incoming Florida volleyball freshman class has been named the nation’s top recruiting class in 2008, according to PrepVolleyball.com.

Florida head coach Mary Wise welcomes Cassandra Anderson, Cindy Bathelt, Elissa Hausmann, Kelly Murphy, Betsy Smith and Colleen Ward to her roster for the 2008 campaign. The publication also included redshirt freshman Kristy Jaeckel in the recruiting class rankings.

Four of UF’s six incoming freshmen claimed national titles in late June, and all six were competing in either the Junior Volleyball Director’s Association Championship in Louisville, Ky., or the USA Volleyball Junior Nationals in Dallas.
