A 35-year-old man is being treated for multiple gun shot wounds following an altercation Sunday night in the 2100 block of SW 70th Terrace.
The shooter, a 27-year-old man, was questioned by police and released after he cooperated with authorities said Lt. Art Forgey with the Alachua County Sheriff's Office.
At 10:20 p.m. a group of people were standing around a pickup when witnesses say the victim approached "acting irrationally and threateningly," Forgey said.
"They asked him to leave several times and that's why were not releasing any more information," said Forgey, adding they aren't certain whether the shooter is a suspect or a victim in this case.
