Bank robbery under investigation

Gainesville police are investigating the Friday morning robbery of the Wachovia bank branch on W. University Ave.
Gainesville Police are investigating a Friday morning robbery of the Wachovia bank branch at 3500 W. University Ave.
The investigation includes a search for possible evidence in the section of Hogtown Creek adjacent the bank's east parking lot.
Officials said no one was injured inside the bank, but the investigation includes an apparent suicide attempt at 10 a.m. in an apartment complex on SW 34th St. less than a mile from the bank.
