Andre Caldwell
Wide receiver
6-foot, 204 pounds
Vital stats
Finished his college career as Florida's all-time leading receiver with 185 catches for 2,349 yards. He accounted for 21 touchdowns (16 receiving, four running and one passing) in his career.

Timed at 4.37 seconds in the 40, 4.11 in the short shuttle, had a vertical jump of 37 1/2 inches and bench-pressed 225 pounds 18 times at the NFL Combine and UF Pro Day.
Strengths
Very fast, productive player who can make things happen after the catch. He has good size and strength and developed into a proficient blocker in his senior season.
Weaknesses
Not real fluid in his route running and he has shown some inconsistency catching the ball.
Projected round
Late second to early third.
UF draft fact
There is a chance Caldwell will be drafted in the second round Saturday. Eight years ago, his older brother, former UF receiver Reche Caldwell, was selected in the second round by the San Diego Chargers.
Caldwell on the draft
"You never know what's going to happen on draft day. I don't care where I go. I just want to go to any team. I just want to hear my name called. I'm very excited. It's a childhood dream of mine and it's finally becoming a reality. I just can't wait to hear my name called."
What they're saying
"Caldwell will go sometime after the first round. He's got great speed, but there is an issue there with a lack of consistency catching the ball."
— NFL Network analyst Charley Casserly
"I think most people will look at him in the second round."
— ESPN analyst Ron Jaworski
"He has a chance to be in the late second to early third round mix. It probably will be somewhere at the top of the third round. That 40 time he had (at the Combine) makes you stand up and take note of this kid. He also tested out very well athletically. He was a very productive receiver at Florida and he has good ability. But he doesn't play as fast as he timed. The explosiveness you'd expect with a time like that isn't there. I think he deserves serious consideration, but not in the first round."
— ESPN analyst Mel Kiper Jr.
"He ran well at the combine and he had a good workout (at UF's Pro Day). We'll see where he falls in the draft. He's a good player who will have a chance if he continues to develop."
— James Harris, vice president of player personnel for Jacksonville
