There will be shoulder pads and tennis rackets, leotards and gloves and bare feet digging into warm, white sand.


Park & Ride

UF will operate a parking shuttle running from the commuter lot on Gale Lemerand Dr. beginning at 10 a.m. The shuttle will stop at Gate 2 of the O'Connell Center for access to most events.

Florida's campus will transform into a Gator sporting paradise on Saturday, with five major events being held on campus throughout the day.

Orange and Blue Debut

What: Spring football game

Admission: $5, free for UF students with ID

Fan activities: Player autograph session in north end zone concourse from 9:30 - 11 a.m.; Photo opportunity with Heisman and national championship trophies in north end zone concourse from 9:30 a.m. through third quarter; Student flag football game from 11 - 11:45 a.m.; Student skills competition and Fastest Gator on Campus contest (students vs. players) prior to kickoff at 1:07 p.m.

College GameDay

What: Two-hour football news/analysis talk show

Where: Section 20 of the Northwest corner of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium

When/TV: Live Saturday from 11 a.m. to noon on ESPN2 and from noon to 1 p.m. on ESPN

NCAA gymnastics

What: Southeast Region meet

Teams: Florida, UCLA, Nebraska, N.C. State, West Virginia and North Carolina

Where: Stephen C. O'Connell Center

When: 7 p.m., Saturday

Admission: $4-10, free for UF students with ID

SEC beachvolleyball tournament

What: The first-ever beach volleyball tournament held by an NCAA Division I conference

Where: SW Rec Sports beach volleyball courts (Hull Road between SW 34th St. and Museum Rd.)

When: 8:30 a.m. Saturday, gold medal match at 6 p.m.

Admission: Free

UF baseball vs. Arkansas

What: Game 2 of weekend series

Where: McKethan Stadium

When: 4 p.m., Saturday

UF men's tennis vs. South Carolina
