A man wanted in the shooting of a High Springs resident over the weekend turned himself in at the Alachua County jail Tuesday morning, police reported.

Jamariay Rakymm Jamison, 19, surrendered at the jail at about 8:30 a.m., High Springs Police Chief James Troiano reported.

Jamison was wanted for aggravated battery with a firearm in connection with the shooting of a 65-year-old man late Saturday. The man was found in front of a home at 645 SE Washington Ave. in High Springs.

The Police Department had reported the motive for the shooting had not been determined. The victim was listed in good condition at Shands at the University of Florida Monday.

Jamison was being held at the jail Tuesday afternoon on a $250,000 bond.
