What to know: The Gators and Dolphins open a two-game home-and-home series today. The teams will meet again Wednesday night in Jacksonville. The Gators will be seeking revenge after Jacksonville came back from a 5-2 deficit to beat the Gators, 6-5, last year in Gainesville. ... The Dolphins have lost six of their last seven while Florida has won nine of its last 10. The Gators cracked the top 25 in multiple polls Monday for the first time this season. ... The SEC named Gators' right-hander Tommy Toledo the league's freshman of the week on Monday. Toledo moved to 4-0 Sunday when he limited Ole Miss to one run on six hits over a career-high seven innings.

Florida's baseball team is back in the national spotlight.

The Gators made their first appearance in the top 25 this season when they appeared in multiple polls released Monday.

Florida was ranked No. 18 in the USA Today/ESPN coaches' poll, No. 22 by Collegiate Baseball, No. 24 by Baseball America and No. 26 by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers' Association.

The Gators (17-4, 5-1 SEC) went 3-1 against top 25 teams Florida State and Ole Miss last week, have won nine of their last 10 and sit alone atop the SEC standings after two weekends.

The Gators were ranked as high as No. 17 last year by Collegiate Baseball.
