Men's, women's tennis defeat Vandy

WOMEN'S TENNIS: The seventh-ranked Gators used the depth of their singles lineup and the strength of their doubles teams to defeat No. 14 Vanderbilt, 5-2, at Linder Stadium at Ring Tennis Complex.
The win, which improved the Gators’ all-time home record versus SEC opponents to an impressive 140-1, was the league opener for both teams.
MEN'S TENNIS: For the fifth time in seven seasons under head coach Andy Jackson, Florida opened SEC action with a victory as the 11th-ranked Gators topped No. 29 Vanderbilt, 6-1, in Nashville, Tenn.
The win, which was the first on the road for the Gators this year, improved UF’s record to 6-3. The Commodores fell to 8-2 overall.
