TAMPA, Fla. - An AirTran flight from Tampa to Atlanta was delayed Friday morning after someone reported a man making suspicious comments in an airport restroom.
Tampa International Airport spokeswoman Brenda Geoghagan (GO-ha-gen) says a 36-year-old man in the restroom was talking to someone else about the war on terrorism and what kind of explosives are most effective.
Someone in the restroom became alarmed and reported the conversation. The man was taken into custody and his flight was delayed an hour and half. All passengers and baggage had to be screened again.
Geoghagan says the man who made the comments was later released and allowed to book another flight.
